Design & Implementation

The OMNI redesign was the most extensive website I had built at that point because the project touched almost every part of how the company presented itself: visual identity, services, portfolio work, content, SEO, animation, graphics, and conversion.

I moved the site toward a more deliberate agency aesthetic built around deep navy, warm off-white, and OMNI red, with editorial typography, compact inner-page heroes, purposeful motion, and local Providence imagery. On the homepage, I experimented with interactive browser-style mockups and progressive interface reveals rather than generic stock technology graphics. Later service-page work extended the system with different visual metaphors for web development, custom applications, digital marketing, and AI while keeping them part of the same overall design language.

A major part of the project was structural rather than visual. The services pages were bloated and split among too many categories. I reorganized service content, performed substantial keyword research, added new pages around AI integration services, expanded the blog system and project presentation, and thought much more deliberately about how pages connected to search intent.

A lot of careful design went into the animation and design style of the site to give off a professional, capable, and approachable impression that clearly explained an all-in-one agency and increased the “tech” presence of site site, while also including new animations and fun details to a level that I had not hit on any site before.

Project Presentation Graphics

I also created a reusable Photoshop presentation system for showing completed OMNI projects across desktop, laptop, tablet, and mobile mockups. The compositions used a consistent 16:9 structure with a dark branded background, a bold diagonal accent tied to the client’s identity, subtle industry-specific line icons, and the finished website shown responsively across devices.

The goal was to make project imagery feel like part of a single OMNI portfolio system without making every client look the same. I could reuse the layout while changing the accent color, iconography, headline, and device captures to fit each brand. These graphics were used for project presentation and marketing material and became a repeatable part of how we showcased finished work.

Reflection

Working on OMNI’s own website was different from working on a client site because there was nowhere to hide behind a client’s established brand. We had to decide what our own work should look like and what kind of company the website should communicate.

This site needed to be more visually impressive than any I had done before. It pushed me further into design direction, copy structure, SEO strategy, and presentation. The work I achieved here became an important step between my earlier client-site work and the platform-level work I would spend more time on later.

Project Summary

Key Achievements

  • •Established a new visual direction for OMNI's primary company website and carried it through the full implementation
  • •Streamlined service content
  • •Performed extensive keyword research and built SEO targeting into the new page and content structure
  • •Expanded the site's project, blog, animation, graphic, and marketing presentation

Key Challenges

  • •Designing the website for the company that produced websites meant the finished work also had to serve as a demonstration of our own standards
  • •Unifying the brand messaging across web design, custom software, marketing, AI, and other services without making the company feel fragmented

Key Learnings

  • •How much visual systems, content strategy, SEO, and positioning overlap on a company website
  • •How to take many ideas and directions you have for an idea and distill them into a single coherent design
