PGA REACH New England

Built a large nonprofit website for PGA REACH New England and used the project to create a new reusable admin interface, dynamic event pages, Markdown-based blogging, and sitemap generation.

Design & Implementation

PGA REACH New England needed to organize a large mission around several distinct pillars: Veterans, youth development, inclusion, scholarships, events, news, and donor support.

I kept the public design centered on the mission. The site uses large golf and community photography, spacious editorial sections, clear pillar-based navigation, impact statistics, and prominent support/donation pathways. The site also had several key areas of dynamic content offered through their programs, scholarships, and events. Program pages can carry substantial information without losing the visual connection to the people the foundation serves.

The most exciting work for me happened behind the public pages. The older admin patterns we had in Project Starter was outdated and was not maintained as new components were added, so I used this project to build a new administrative interface, reusable dynamic event pages, and a full blog workflow with Markdown editing and sitemap generation.

Those systems were all reused, too. In August 2026, I merged the reusable pieces back into Project Starter so later OMNI projects could start with the improved admin and content infrastructure.

Project Summary

Key Achievements

  • •Built a mission-driven nonprofit site around Veterans, youth development, inclusion, scholarships, news, and support
  • •Created a new administrative platform to replace older Project Starter admin patterns that had become difficult to maintain
  • •Implemented reusable dynamic event pages and a complete end-to-end blog system with Markdown editing
  • •Added sitemap generation and later moved the strongest reusable systems back into Project Starter

Key Challenges

  • •Supporting a broad amount of program and event content through a full admin CMS while keeping the public site visually clean and mission-focused
  • •Designing new internal systems while simultaneously delivering the client project that depended on them

Key Learnings

  • •A client project can be a useful proving ground for internal platform improvements when the reusable boundary is kept clear
  • •Continued growth design content systems, not just public-page UI/UX, where nontechnical staff will operate the site long after launch
